Description:
This is a loose-leaf herbal tea (infusion) made of only dried chamomile flowers.
How to use:
Add 1g or 1 tsp to a tea bag or stainless-steel infuser for 1 cup of tea.
Add 3g or 3 tsp to a large tea bag or stainless-steel infuser for a pot of tea.
Chamomile is rich in:
- Antioxidants – apigenin (neuroprotective – binds to receptors in brain that improve sleep quality and reduce insomnia)
- Flavonoids – anti-inflammatory, may help reduce blood cholesterol, triglycerides, blood sugar (hypoglycaemic)
- Terpenes
May assist with:
- Sleep quality
- Digestion
- Blood sugar levels
- Ulcers
May be drunk daily.
Avoid drinking chamomile tea if you are allergic to plants in daisy family e.g., ragweed and chrysanthemums
